Theme-Based Learning

At Tenacious Preschool, each week is centered around an exciting theme
that inspires curiosity, creativity, and a love of learning. Through stories,
music, art, science, sensory play, educational games, dramatic play, and
hands-on exploration, children develop vocabulary, early literacy,
phonological awareness, pre-writing skills, critical thinking, problem-solving,
and social-emotional skills. Character education and public speaking are
naturally integrated into daily activities, helping children build confidence,
communication skills, and a strong foundation for kindergarten and lifelong
learning.

Personalized Curriculum

Teacher and director developed using the California state adopted
elementary schools standards as a framework and on-going research,
acquisition and development of curriculum for the enhancement of a
child’s growth.

Critical Thinking

We create independent, intelligent thinkers who are able to face any challenge or excel in any avenue by stimulating the child’s interests and challenging them to critically think, analyze, reason and form conclusions.

Character education

We model and incorporate principles of outstanding citizenship through our letter of the week curriculum, in which children learn words such as amazing, being the best, careful, determined, and more through skits, role-play, artwork and story connections.

Communication

We establish confident, sophisticated communicators who are able to speak and write clearly and powerfully by providing the scaffolding and student-centered, team-oriented settings to build a child’s confidence, vocabulary and etiquette.

English and Arabic literacy

We develop early language acquisition and literacy in English and Arabic by granting students the tools they need in the areas of speaking etiquette, enunciation, pronunciation, phonics, identification of letters, and learn by association, so they are able to flourish in every communicative domain.

Physical Education

We build a child’s physical strength, stamina and life-long health and wellness habits for a stronger and more powerful student physically, emotionally and spiritually.

Math

We develop students’ math readiness by using a hands-on, kinesthetic approach. This problem-solving method teaches life skills and gives children the fundamentals they need in order to excel.

Science

We develop student’s ability to challenge prejudices, test possibilities in hopes of new discoveries, engage in vigorous debate and questioning, and to distinguish fact from opinion.

Social Studies

We enable students to examine the institutions, values, and beliefs of people in the past, acquire skills in historical inquiry and interpretation, and gain an understanding of how important historical events and developments have shaped the modern world.

Islamic Studies

We develop our students’ identity by building a culture that incorporates Islam into each and every area of their lives.

Quran

We develop student’s ability to recite, memorize, and understand the meaning of the Quran, and it’s role in their everyday lives.
